Sometimes I try to do things and it just doesn't work out the way I wanted to. I get real frustrated and I try hard to do it and I take my time and it just doesn't work out the way I wanted to. It seems like I concentrate on it real hard but it just doesn't work out. Everything I do and everything I try never turns out. It's like I need time to figure these things out. But there's always someone there going. Hey Daniel: You know we've been noticing you've been having a lot of problems lately. You know, maybe you should get away and like, maybe you should talk about it, maybe you'll feel a lot better. And I go: No it's okay, you know I'll figure it out, just leave me alone I'll figure it out. You know I'll just work it all by myself. And they go: Well you know if you want to talk about it I'll be here you know and you'll probably feel a lot better if you talk about it. Why don’t you talk about it? And I go: No I don't want to I'm okay, I'll figure it out myself and they just keep bugging me and they just keep bugging me and it builds up inside and it builds up inside.

    <lj:music>Dirt off Your Shoulders - Jay-Z</lj:music>

Man, what a weekend, the Potomac River Trip was so fun

Me and Liam got up there on Thursday around noon. John knew we were comin, he invited us for his birthday. But he didnt know about everyone else which will be explained later. Once we got there, we got straight on the boat and went to a resturant for lunch across the river. After that, we went out water skiing, which was really fun. It was only my second time, but Im not bad, I only fell once the whole time, but John is really good. We got Liam up too for his first time which was cool for him. That night, we played a game of poker between the 4 guys: me, Liam, John, and Ren and I won, the whole thing, first time ever. woot.

The next day, John wanted to go golfing early. We were trying to convince him not to go cause a bunch of other people were coming that day around noon and luckily we didnt go. After breakfast, we went out water skiing again and I to wake board. That was really fun cept it was set for Ren and since hes a lot taller, his stance is wider, making it really tiring to stay up. Then around lunch, we got waved in by mama Hutt and everyone came running out to greet John. Unbeknownst to him, Daniel Calvin Lucy David and Lucy were coming as a suprise. After lunch, more skiing and tubing around the river which was really fun. That night, we started playin another game of poker, unfortunatley, i went out early but bought $3 off Daniel and stayed in. Stayed up playin and smokin some cigars, so the day was fun.

The next day was more skiing and tubing. Not much new stuff, we tried to finish our poker game. It got down to me Lucy David and Ren, Lucy being the short stack, so we were like she'll be out soon. She wins the first like 8 hands. So then I take back my hat that shes been wearing and throw in some Colin Powells for the ante (black chips). Full House biatch. Soon after, I take control and knock lucy out. Now down to 3. That night we played some good ol CTF. Me and Daniel are the best 2 man offensive team. Stayed up some more but neither of the other guys wanted to finish the poker game so we cashed out, me with the about half the pot of $22 so i made about a $30 profit off both games.

The trip was really fun. Makes me want a vacation house somewhere on the water.

Things to Remember:
Rock Lobster
Colin Powell
Random Family Guy Quotes
Shark Teeth
Chilly Willys
John Being Good at the Weridest Sports
Seeing David Fall in the Shower Naked
And prolly a whole bunch of stuff I cant think of right now

Here's a quick summary of our day:

-6:30 wake up for breakfast at 7
-Flag Rasing
-5 hours of listing to boring government/military speakers
-lunch
-3 more hours of listing to boring government/military speakers
-2 hours of activites (moot court for me)
-dinner
-more speakers
-bed at 11:30

It was really boring going, but the people I meet there were prolly some of the coolest guys I have ever met. But going a week without seeing a girl can really get to you. So any females reading this, gimme a call (426-0363) cause I don't want to see another guy for like the next week.

    <lj:music>Nuck If You Buck - Lil Scrappy</lj:music>

Back from a long track meet out in Newport News, but it was fun. I was really glad I got to miss Friday cause I did not feel like going to school (AND ONLY A COUPLE DAYS LEFT thank God). But I decided to stay over Friday night to watch Saturday's events and skip my SAT cause I didn't think I wouldve done well on it cause I had too much on my mind.

We ran the 4x8 on Friday, our best time of 8:00, but still not as good as we couldve done. No one on our team ran their best time except for Pat. I was very disappointed in myself even though it was what I was suppossed to run. 2:05 was my split; went on strong with a :58 first lap and died on the second coming through with a 1:07. I was hoping to go out fast and just hang and finish with like a 2:02 or somethin, so I wasn't too happy with my performance. But we did do a lot better than we were seeded. We barely snuck in the fast heat as number 11 and finished 4th giving us All-State Title so that was pretty cool. That night we went to Fuddruckers for dinner and Matt and Carly made a huge scene (which was very funny I might add) on how the ladys overcharged them. Matt told the manager he was gonna report their restaurant to the Health Dept. since his mom works their (seriously).

The next day I just got to sit around and watch. It was pretty cool to be at a track meet and not have to worry about running that day. Watching was really fun even though I probably felt more nervous for other people than I did for my own race. Unfortunately, no individuals won, but did very well. Pat got 3rd in the 1600, Sallie placed well in the 1600 (sorry I dont know your exact place), Carly got 2nd in the 800, and Zajac got 2nd in the Discus the day before. But all in all, our team did pretty well finishing 6th in the State. All I can think is we still got one more year, and next year, its gonna be State Champs all the way.

    <lj:music>Jackson Browne - Stay</lj:music>

Well, I haven't updated in a while, so lets see if I can at least recap the weekend.

Friday, can't remember much during the day. All I was that night at Mr EC Glass. That was probably the funniest thing I have seen in a long time. I think Andy should of won just because he had the best entrence ever, Risky Business style. But all in all, everyone made me laugh I was glad I went. After that, Alex, Carson, Calvin, Carly and Chris came over and watched The Incredibles. Even though it was like the 10th time watching it, it still managed to make me laugh.

Saturday, after waking up to a 6:30 alarm clock to go to a track meet, I sulked around to get all my stuff together. I drove Carly to his house to get his stuff and "woke up with the King". Once we got there and off the bus, I about died it was so cold. After about 1/2 hour of freezing, we decided to hide under the tarp, which actually worked out really well. The meet sucked for me, almost re-injured myself for another bad season, but I decided not to push it too bad in the mile so I could just make it through healthy. When I got home, I got some bad news, my mom says, "Remember those sodas you put in the freezer last night?" and all I thought was...fuck. I looked in their, and yup, 3 of them exploded. Slushy Mr Pibb drenched our freezing. So for the next hour, I spent cleaning the freezing with a cloth and toothbrush, not very fun. Later that night, me and Alex went out to Phila Deli for some grub before headin out to the soccer game. The game was pretty good, we won 4 to 1. After that, Alex, Andrew, Carly, and Chris came over and we watched Saw. That was probably the weirdest movie ever. Plus, no one would ever guess how it ends, not even if your the best movie guesser.

Sunday, me, Liam, John, and Alex went out to Poplar Forest for a relaxing round of golf. The first 9 was just for fun, meaning bad drive gets a do-over. It was pretty empty in the mornin, but when we started the back 9, it got crowded. And to make it interesting, we each put in $2 for the back 9, with only one do-over drive. For the first 5 holes, John was the only one beating me, since I had to 3 put the first to holes due to my bad reads. But then on the 2nd par 3, John hits it right in the sand trap, and as for me, about 10 feet from the hole. I get a birdie to finish the whole, and John chokes, and gets mad and shoots and 8. I pull ahead by 4. w00t. The next hole is a par 5 and John gets on the green in 2, putting for Eagle. Chokes, puts for birdie, chokes, gets really mad and gives up. And the end, I beat Alex by a stroke. But after that game, we all decided we need to go out to the driving range first before we play again.

My birthday is in about a month; May 21. Yup, same day as districts and prom. But so far, it looks like its gonna suck since so far I'm not going to prom cause I have no one to go with. O well.

    <lj:music>To Zanarkand - Nobuo Uematsu</lj:music>

Saturday can possible be noted as an example of Murphy's Law stating that everything that can go wrong, will go wrong.

Let's start things off from the beginning. Most of the day I waws hanging out with Carly and Tripp. We went down to L. Oppelman and Carly got me a deal on some subs which was pretty cool. After a while of trying to call people who knew how to do it, we gave up and went inside. Later, Calvin calls and says his parents haven't grounded him yet, so we have to do something with him. So after he comes over, we decide to go over by Trents Ferry to drink with some other people. So we all pile into my car and head off. As I'm driving, a deer runs out in front of me, so I swerve, to miss and end up hitting some lady's mailbox. The car isnt to bad but it took the ladys mailbox clean off. So we drive back to my house and pile in Tripps and leave again. Right about now, I think I'm gonna puke. I feel so bad adn don't know what the hell to do. Well, we get on our way and pick up and Sarah and Alex, but Alex drives since we can't fit 6 people in one car.

We finally get there, and start havin some fun. Me and Calvin get shafted out of a verbal contract, but o well. During this time, Alex wants to take his Jeep offroadingt in these back woods, cause Jeeps can handle everything-wrong. He manages to slip in some mud andget wedged up against a tree barely missing running into Erin I think. We all go down there and do anything possible to get it to budge, we even had to cut down the tree. Well after about 2 1/2 hours of that, we call Alex's dad to tell him what happened and Sarah H's dad to see if can get his truck to pull it out. We end up tryin to use Tripps Explorer to pull it out and almost get it stuck too. But after a while, we give up and they decide to come back tomorrow. So once again, we pile in the cars and head home.

On the way home, we pass 5 cops in a row. Fuck. Tripp gets pulled over for speeding. We're all fucked. Lucky for us, Alex's dad comes by and explains to the cop what happened and I think might've helped us from getting breathalized. Tripp got a ticket and was pissed as fuck.

So pretty much that night is probably one of the worst nights ever, but not the worst.

<lj:music>If You Wanna Be Happy For the Rest of Your Life - Jimmy Soul</lj:music>

Yesterday was prolly my first day in a while where I wasnt doing history day all day. But it started off kinda weird when I was takin Peyton home from track. Pull up in his drive way and I have to let him out since neither of the doors on the passenger side work from the inside. He unlocks it, I let him out, and as I'm closing it, it locks it self. Thank god the car is still running... So I have to go use their phone to call my mom...no ones home. So I get his mom to drive me to my house so I can get the spare key and come back. Just thought I'd share that since it was kinda funny.
After that, I went over to Carly's with Alex and we tried workin on Carlys new paintball gun. He just got his Impulse from some Canadian guy off eBay and he doesn't have the valve spring so the gun cant recock itself. After we argued with him online on how you need that part, we finally tried to see if it worked his way, but then his max flow (gas regulator for his gun) started leaking. We shot it anyway, and it shot hella fast. We messed around with it some more but it the end decided to take it to Painted Forest later and get a low pressure valve for it.
Then we went to Johns house and played poker. Alex bought in with $2 and ended up winning, bastard. After that, it was too late to go to the scary school, so thats what I'll prolly be doing tonite. We're going in covert-op style through the roof. Hopefully this time Calvin won't imagine there are some cops on our walkie-talkies this time. But for most of the day, history day is the only thing I'll be workin on. Gimme a call if you do some later today though.

P.S. http://www.eyell.com/funny_pics/internet_pics_.htm

It's been a while since I've updated, but not much fun has happened since. All thats happened except for some track meets. FUMA was last night, took about all day, it was so long, but not as long as last years, 17 hours. But still, is was long enough. I got to run the 1000m again since I was going for a regional qualifying. I ran the 1000m last weekend, placed a close 2nd and missed qualifying by 1 second, so I was determind to get it this time. Unfortunatley, I missed it again, by 1 second, pissed me off. I ran 2:45.9 and placed 3rd, got a medal (woohoo), and got 6 points to help us win the meet as a team. I have one last chance, maybe, to qualify at the VT Invite. I'm either running just the mile or mile 1000. Hopefully I'll run well since its a banked track and I'll be able to train through this next weekend.
Other than that, everything else is the shitter. I dont know what the hell I'm doing, nothing ever just seems to turn out right.

    <lj:music>Its All For You - Sister Hazel</lj:music>

Last night, was probably the most screwed up night so far, so here it goes.

The night started with Tripp callin me up askin if I wanted to go see Meet the Fockers with him at 10. He's drivin and we pass Graham's car with Evan, Andy, and Jake it, they're goin to Walmart. We pass them and I'm not really payin attention to where we're goin. We get to the theatre right as it turns 10, we ask the person that we'd like a ticket for the movie and he says that they only show movies that have been out in theatres for a while. We look up, and yes, we're at the Dollar Theatre. So after that we decide to go to his house and watch Napoleon Dynamite cause he hasn't seen it yet. But on the way home, he gets a call on his cell phone. To get this conversation, we gotta go back some; when he called me, he also called Lauren Weaver to see if she wanted to go the movies with us. She has a boyfriend and the boyfriend's friend was the one who called Tripp. This guy is flippin his shit on how Tripp is not allowed to call Lauren even though she just a friend. So Tripp hangs up and the guy calls back again so we both talk to him and we get in the huge argument so ever time Tripp hangs up, this guy just keeps callin back tellin us he's gonna fight Tripp. So we get the lowdown on this guy, his name is Nathan Godsey and he's out bowling. So we told him we'd meet him there but we were gonna do a drive-by with Tripps paintball gun. But then I get this idea to call Graham and see if he'll fight for Tripp or at least the guy would get scared just seein Graham. So I call them and tell them whats goin on, we meet them at Walmart and see them buyin some wak stuff. We then call back that Nathan guy and tell him to meet us at Walmart, but he's to busy bowling. So we decide to head over to AMF and meet him there cause there are 6 of us and we're expecting maybe like 1 or 2 people.
When we roll up, we call the guy and tell him we're waitin for him in the parkin lot, so he says if we have the balls, we'll go in. So we walk and start lookin around. I see a group of people starin at us. There have got to be like 15 of them in their group, so we take a seat. The guys DAD comes up to us and asks us if anyone of is Tripp, we all say no. He comes back a second time askin us if we know the number of Tripps cell phone, we say no again. We sit around for a while and Evan and Andy say their goin to the game room. When they get back Andy says that the dad came up to him and asked them if Tripp was Tripp, and he said yes. So later Tripp goes to the bathroom and on his way back he get confronted by the dad, the boyfriend, and Nathan. The rest of us are sittin back just watchin but then we decide to go over there and help him. Nathan is freakin out on Tripp sayin he's gonna bust his skull open for him callin his friends girlfriend. Still, what I never figured out was why the boyfriend had to get his friend to talk to Tripp, so we think that guys a pussy. The AMF people see us all and tell us we have to go outside. We go and we start talkin again, Tripp apologizes to guy for nothing I see wrong and the guys says he'll accept it if Tripp never calls Lauren again, he says sure, and that guy's like you gotta say yes or no, so Graham is like he answered your fuckin question. That pissed off Nathan and he freaks out on Graham. Easily, if Graham was in the mood, he couldve beat the shit out of that kid. But we ended up leavin. All in all, it was a pretty fucked up night.

Dang, I've been waiting for this break FOREVER. God I'm so happy that I'll have 2 weeks with nothing planned and I can just relax. Unfortunatley, my teachers are trying to cram in all that they can before break. I had 5 tests last week with some quizes, and tomorrow I have to turn in a 5 page Latin paper on themes of Ovid (woohoo), take a Latin test and a math quiz. I really wish it would snow so we could miss Monday and Tuesday. But since they arent calling for much snow, everyone tonite should take out their hose in the middle of the street and turn it on. Hopefully that will freeze up the streets so we can't go to school. Man that'd be great. Along with my work toady, I gotta do some last minute Christmas shopping, so I have to stop procrastinating and get to work...but that's not gonna happen.
